No matter what you choose to spend your money on, the point is that these non-essential expenditures feel like a drop in the bucket - right now. But what happens in a worst case scenario? Are you and your family protected against injury, accident, or another unexpected situation that could put you out of a job and out of a salary?

For many of us, we start taking on debt early in our lives. This is especially true in our modern day culture. The drive to have the biggest and the best regardless of your current salary is all too real. But you know what? That’s no way to live your life.

There’s nothing wrong with setting up your budget by thinking about what your expenses are. However, I like to look at it in a slightly different way: give to yourself first.
